The film, directed by Tomasz Grzywaczewski, shows the extent of destruction to Ukraine's cultural heritage at the hands of the Russian army since February 24, 2022, according to the filmmakers.
Russian forces have deliberately targeted historic monuments in Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv, including both secular and religious heritage, archaeological sites, libraries and schools, according to Ukrainian cultural figures.
The premiere screening of the film, entitled Erase the Nation, will take place at Kino Kultura cinema in Warsaw on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
After the screening, a panel discussion, called "Saving Ukraine's Culture," will be held focusing on Russia's plan to erase Ukraine's culture and national identity, Poland's National Institute of Cultural Heritage has said.
