Metallica performed a Maanam hit in Warsaw. "Kora would be proud"

heavtMetallica's concerts are so popular among Poles that the legendary heavy metal band had to perform at the National Stadium twice.

On the first day of concerts, the band played a specially prepared song for the Polish audience, "Back in Warsaw." Fan favorites like "Nothing Else Matters," "Master of Puppets," and "Enter Sandman" were also on the setlist, along with less frequently performed tracks such as "King Nothing" and "Whiplash" - reported fans of the band through all available social media platforms.

On the final day of their performances, Metallica paid tribute to the legendary band Maanam, whose lead singer was Kora. Alongside a choir of Polish fans at the National Stadium, the American musicians sang a fragment of "Kocham Cię, kochanie moje" in its original Polish—a song performed for years by the late Olga Jackowska, who passed away in 2018.

Performing the song in Polish was a significant challenge for the Americans. The atmospheric guitars evoked a nostalgic mood, and it became so sentimental that no one doubted Kora would have been proud of such a cover.
