The concert features the Kraków Opera Orchestra and Chorus under its Music Director, Piotr Sułkowski, as well as soprano Joanna Freszel and cellists Maria Leszczyńska and Marcin Zdunik.

The program of the concert, the 28th edition of the Kraków Proms, includes popular arias from operas by Gounod, Puccini, Verdi and Mozart, Boccherini’s Cello Concerto, the iconic medley of British singalongs: Henry Wood’s Fantasia on British Sea-Songs (featuring ‘Rule, Britannia!’), Hubert Parry’s Jerusalem, as well as the British and Polish national anthems.

Poland’s Last Night of the Proms was launched in 1996 on the initiative of the Kraków Industrial Society. The success of the first concert prompted the Society to turn it into an annual event, which combines the highest artistic caliber with a carefree atmosphere and spontaneous behavior of the audience.
