Set is an elegant hairdressing salon, the play is produced in Poland under the title Szalone nożyczki (Crazy scissors). It has remained in the repertoire of the Bagatela company since 2006, attracting an audience of 350,000.

First staged in Poland in the city of Łódż in 1999, Crazy Scissors has since been produced with an overwhelming success by almost a dozen Polish companies. All productions have proved a box-office hit success thanks to the show’s hilarious dialogues and the fact that every evening, members of the audience get involved in the action and are invited to solve the whodunit murder mystery.

With more than 17,800 performances at the Kennedy Center, Shear Madness is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest running non-musical show in the history of American theatre.

Translated into 28 foreign languages, it has been produced worldwide, including Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Tel Aviv, Melbourne, Johannesburg, and Shanghai.
