The show, entitled Szalony, Zielony Bez (Mad, Green Lilac), tells the story of a young woman from Warsaw's Saska Kępa neighborhood who embarks on a quest for freedom and self-discovery.

Caught between the capitalist West and a communist Poland rich in humor, she navigates both worlds with hope and determination.

The narrative weaves in excerpts from Osiecka’s diaries, interviews and anecdotes from her book Szpetni Czterdziestoletni.

The performance features such Osiecka staples as Damą być, Nie ma jak pompa, and Na zakręcie, accompanied by fresh musical arrangements.

Interspersed throughout are candid reflections and anecdotes, providing insight into Osiecka’s life, passions and singular wit at a time when Poland was still on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain.
