Part of the ensemble’s Folk Heritage project, the concerts aim to showcase Poland's cultural traditions and the music of Romantic composer Fryderyk Chopin, who enjoys immense popularity in Japan.

The tour will also highlight works by Wojciech Kilar, known for his folk-inspired compositions, and Stanisław Hadyna, who founded Śląsk over seven decades ago.

Audiences can expect performances of Polish national dances, including the polonaise, mazur, kujawiak and oberek.

In addition to concerts, the tour will feature Polish folk dance workshops and engagements with Japanese audiences and local cultural institutions.

This marks the ensemble’s ninth visit to Japan since 2002. Śląsk will return in May to perform at the World Expo in Osaka.
