Visitors throng the area in late March and early April, eager to admire and photograph the richly hued blooms of this mature Saucer Magnolia (Magnolia × soulangeana).

Standing about four meters tall, the tree’s purple-lilac petals, tipped with white, unfold before its leaves emerge, creating a striking contrast against the royal palace.

Temporary barriers protect the trunk from crowds snapping photographs.

Local residents say the Magnolia’s annual display “never ceases to amaze,” while first-time visitors call it a “must-see” attraction during Krakow’s spring season.
