Some 70 designs are on display. They date from 12th to 16th centuries and are on loan from Polish museums, private collections as well as churches and monasteries.
“This is a special show because there has never been such an extensive number of medieval stained-glass artworks exhibited in Polish museums,” said Andrzej Szczerski, the Kraków museum’s director.
The exhibition, entitled “The Miracle of Light,” also features panel paintings, embroidery, goldsmithery, and glazing designs.
Many of these items have never been presented to the public before, the museum said on its website.
“The Miracle of Light” runs until July 26.
