Marek Żydowicz added that 12 productions would compete in the main competition, and there would be 10 competitions in total.
These will include contests for debut movies, for Polish films, student films, short and long documentaries, and music videos.
The festival is hailed by its organizers as the world’s most important event of its kind devoted exclusively to the art of cinematography.
It takes place from November 14 to 21 and is being held for the 28th time.
The guest list of last year’s festival included directors Quentin Tarantino, Darren Aronofsky and Edward Norton.
