The Yellow Label, as Deutsche Grammophon (DG) is sometimes called, promotes the music of the Polish Romantic composer and the highly talented interpreters of his work.
A creative partnership between DG and Warsaw's Fryderyk Chopin Institute has resulted in the release of recordings by several winners and laureates of previous Chopin competitions.
Monika Pilch talked to Misha Aster, a Canadian producer from Deutsche Grammophon who has been watching the performances attentively in the hope of spotting promising, young pianists.
Over the years, DG has released recordings by past Chopin Piano Competition winners such as Maurizio Pollini, Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman and Yundi Li.
