The famous composer, who was born in Żelazowa Wola near Warsaw in 1810, gave his first international concert in Duszniki-Zdrój in southwestern Poland.
The Chopin Manor in the local Spa Park, which now serves as a cultural center of Duszniki-Zdrój, was created between 1802 and 1805.
Initially, the building, called the "spa theater," served as a theater, concert hall and social venue. Today's Chopin Manor House was named to celebrate a concert the brilliant musician gave there in 1826.
The composer spent the summer having treatment in Duszniki-Zdrój, and during his stay he also played his first charity concert in the manor.
