The four-day trade fair for books will be held at Warsaw’s Royal Castle, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Exhibitors will include more than 100 publishers of various literary genres, from literary fiction to crime fiction and non-fiction, as well as youth and children’s books and comic books.
Among them will be such popular publishing brands as Sonia Draga, WAB and Czerwone i Czarne.
The state-run Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) will also showcase its publications.
The Autumn Book Fair features a host of accompanying events, from literary meetings to discussions and educational meetings, as well as workshops and events for children, organisers said.
Moreover, audiences will have an opportunity to meet a cast of popular writers, including Beata Pawlikowska, Alek Rogoziński and Ukraine’s Oksana Zabuzhko.
“Every reader will find something interesting for themselves at the fair,” Małgorzata Kanownik of the History and Culture Foundation (FHK), the event’s organiser, told the PAP news agency.
The Autumn Book Fair runs until Sunday, September 18.
Admission to the event is free.
