The new film is a crime story and comedy in one and is the feature-film debut of writer-director Maciej Kawalski.
The characters include some of the most distinguished figures of Polish culture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries - novelist Joseph Conrad, translator Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński, anthropologist Bronisław Malinowski and painter and writer Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (known as "Witkacy").
The actors taking on these legendary figures are themselves living legends of Polish film and theatre: Andrzej Seweryn, Tomasz Kot, Wojciech Mecwaldowski and Marcin Dorociński.
