Entitled The World Will Tremble, the film is written and directed by Lior Geller, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Invisible Man) and Jeremy Neumark Jones (Grantchester) have been tapped for lead roles.
The movie tells the true story of two Jewish prisoners who attempted to escape from the Nazi German death camp in the western Polish village of Chełmno, according to news outlets.
Set up in 1941, Kulmhof was the Third Reich's first death camp, according to historians.
Of the over 320,000 Jews who were sent there, only four are known to have survived, the PAP news agency reported.
The World Will Tremble follows two prisoners as they seek to escape to "expose the truth and bear witness to the barbarity they witnessed," according to the Variety website.
Geller said the story of the two Jewish inmates, Solomon and Michael, "who attempted the impossible in an effort to expose the Nazi horrors," highlighted "the significance of hope, survival and the critical role of bearing witness."
The World Will Tremble is an international co-production by Britain's Lorton Entertainment and America's UFO Films, among other partners, Variety reported.
