At a late-night concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Orliński will be partnered by the instrumentalists of Il Pomo d’Oro, an Italian orchestra named after the opera Il pomo d'oro by Antonio Cesti.
The programme features music by early Baroque composers, including Monteverdi, Marini, Caccini, Frescobaldi, Cavalli, Moratelli, Sartorio, Netti, Strozzi, and Pollarolo, alongside Tamburetta by Polish composer Adam Jarzębski (1590-1649).
On August 3, Orliński will perform the same programme at the Edinburgh International Festival, followed by performances in France, Austria, Germany and London’s Wigmore Hall on September 12.
At 33, Orliński is among the world’s most sought-after classical music singers.
The BBC Proms describes him on its website as a "multi-skilled, golden-voiced countertenor."
