FOCUS :: World Orchestra Week

The first edition of Carnegie Hall’s World Orchestra Week (WOW!) took place in New York last week with the participation of more than 700 young musicians from 5 continents, among them over 100 from the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).

Founded by Joy and Lionel Bryer in 1976, EUYO has been a Cultural Ambassador for the European Union for almost fifty years. Every year, around 3500 applicants aged 16-26 throughout all 27 EU Member States audition for approximately 120 places. This year the group features 8 musicians from Poland.
