The statement came after Eisenberg humorously referenced the initiative during a recent appearance on a US talk show, where he jokingly revealed he had learned about the training just a day after receiving Polish citizenship.

In a short video posted on social media, Tusk addressed Eisenberg directly, saying: "Dear Jesse! There's really nothing to be afraid of. Those military trainings are voluntary."

"So come over to Poland! And we'll give you such a training that the new James Bond role? It's yours!," the Polish PM said in the video.

Eisenberg, who directed and starred in the 2024 comedy-drama A Real Pain, filmed scenes for the movie in Warsaw, Lublin, Radom, Krasnystaw, and New York.

Kieran Culkin won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film.
