Mateusz Morawiecki was speaking after Russia's ambassador to Warsaw was quoted as saying earlier in the day that Poland had blocked his embassy's bank accounts amid accusations of financing "terrorist activity."
"I can only say in general that the funds of the Russian Federation have indeed been withheld," Morawiecki told a news conference in Warsaw.
He refused to elaborate, telling reporters to ask Poland's security services for details, the state PAP news agency reported.
Poland on Wednesday said it was expelling 45 Russian diplomats suspected of espionage.
