It seldom happens that a series of three days falling side by side carry such meaningful significance for a nation's history and its present day - in Poland's case it is May 1st, 2nd and 3rd

May 1st marks the anniversary of Poland joining the European Union in 2004, May 2nd is National Flag Day (the struggle for its White and Red colors carrying the sacrifice of many Polish lives) with the following day commemorating Poland's May 3rd Constitution of 1791, Europe's first and the world's second (after that of the United States) Supreme Law in written form.
