The trip comes as trade between the two countries surpassed USD 10 billion in 2022.

Also, data show that South Korea is one of the countries with an overall trade volume of over USD 1 trillion and the fifth-largest exporter in the world.

Poland enjoys a convenient location in the heart of Europe and boasts a growing economy. However, regional competitors are also interested in attracting South Korean companies.

"South Korea is currently the biggest Asian investor in Poland," says Paweł Szkudlarek, an attorney-at-law at the SPS Tax & Law firm specializing in assistance to South Korean investors.

"The scale of investments, however, has gone slightly down in the past two years because some other countries in the region, including Hungary and Serbia, decided to take action to attract more Korean investments," Szkudlarek told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler in an interview.
