This unique Holy Week tradition challenges participants to walk through the night—alone or in small groups—carrying a wooden cross and stopping to pray at each of the Stations of the Cross.
A strict rule of silence is observed throughout the journey to encourage deep reflection and personal contemplation.
The route typically spans around 50 kilometres, though some participants walk over 100 km, pushing their physical and spiritual limits.
More than just a test of endurance, those who take part often describe it as a powerful spiritual experience—and a confrontation with their own weaknesses.
Michał Owczarek has the story.
