She said the Polish labour market was strong and capable of creating many employment opportunities for Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion of their country.
Before Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, more than 1 million Ukrainians worked legally in Poland, most of them men, according to officials.
Many of them have since left Poland to defend their country against invading Russian forces.
Some of these vacancies could now be filled by Ukrainian women, Maląg told reporters.
