Poland has taken in nearly 7 million refugees fleeing Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The country in March enacted a measure to offer wide-ranging support to Ukrainians, including granting them residence rights and ensuring access to education, healthcare and social benefits.
Seventy-nine percent of Poles are in favour of accepting refugees from war-torn Ukraine, according to a recent survey.
On Wednesday, on the sidelines of a conference held by the Kosciuszko Foundation, a US-based organisation promoting educational and cultural exchanges between the United States and Poland, the US ambassador to Warsaw, Mark Brzezinski, praised Poles for helping Ukrainian refugees in an interview with Radio Poland's Danuta Isler.
