Polish firms say lower labour and business costs give Ukrainian companies an unfair advantage and have called for the restoration of an entry permit programme.
“Three trucks per hour are being let through for Ukraine and one per hour for Poland,” Ewa Czyż, a spokeswoman for local police, told public broadcaster Polish Radio on Wednesday.
She added: “The protest has been held peacefully to date. Police are monitoring the developments."
