"This morning, around 5:10, the enemy fired on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village in Kupiansk district. A residential building was damaged. A 73-year-old woman died," Kharkiv governor Oleh Synehubov wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

In a separate incident in the Zaporizhzhia region, in the town of Orikhiv, another attack occurred resulting in the death of a police officer.

Interior minister Ihor Klymenko reported that a total of 12 people were injured, including four police officers. Russian troops used a guided aerial bomb in the attack.

The areas in eastern Kharkiv region and much of Zaporizhzhia region are located close to the front line, and there has been an increase in Russian assaults in recent weeks, as reported by Ukrainian forces.
