Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 445,900: report

Around 445,900 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 7,033 tanks, 13,459 armored fighting vehicles and 11,221 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces killed 860 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,029 multiple launch rocket systems, 747 air defense systems, 347 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 26 warships, and 8,847 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 772 of Russias war on Ukraine.
