"Rescue operations are ongoing at the children's hospital. Two people are confirmed dead and two are injured. People may still be trapped under the rubble," reported Interfax-Ukraine, citing rescue services. The statement did not specify the hospital's name, but Ochmatdyt is visible in the photos provided.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, there are 16 injured individuals in the hospital, including seven children.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that one of the targets of the massive rocket attack on Ukraine was the Ochmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv. Such an attack on such a target constitutes a war crime under international law.
One of the hospital's rooms was destroyed as a result of the rocket attack, reported Ukrainska Pravda, citing the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, and hospital management.
Evacuation is ongoing, and patients, as per Klitschko's statement, will be transferred to other medical facilities.
According to Ukrainska Pravda sources, there are casualties in the hospital due to the Russian rocket bombardment.
