The number of fatalities has increased to 38, including four children, with 190 wounded after Monday's missile strike on Ukraine, resulting in damage across seven districts of Kyiv and three cities in Donetsk region, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. The UN Security Council will meet on Tuesday to discuss the Russian assault.

"We need to hold Russia accountable for its acts of terror, and Putin for issuing such orders. Every time there are attempts at peace talks with him, Russia responds with attacks on homes and hospitals," wrote President of Ukraine on the X platform.

Volodymyr Zelensky informed, that after yesterday's Russian missile attack, rescue efforts are ongoing. The death toll currently stands at 38, including four children. Additionally, 190 people have been injured, receiving care with 64 hospitalized in Kyiv, 28 in Kryvyi Rih, and 6 in Dnipro.

All patients from Okhmatdyt have been relocated to other medical facilities. Rescue operations, involving nearly 400 responders, continued throughout the night in affected areas. Appreciation is expressed for everyone involved in rescue and care efforts. Efforts continue to enhance city and community defenses against Russian aggression, with decisive actions forthcoming, bolstered by global support to safeguard lives from Russian threats. 

The UN Security Council will convene on Tuesday at the request of Britain, France, Ecuador, Slovenia, and the USA to discuss Russia's attack on the children's hospital in Kyiv, according to diplomatic sources cited by Reuters.
