Speaking in an interview with British public broadcaster BBC, Zelensky voiced his willingness to cooperate with any US leader despite concerns about Trump’s past indifference toward Ukraine.
During a visit to the UK for a European Political Community meeting, Zelensky praised British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s commitment to Ukraine and said he looked forward to a "special" era in British foreign policy under his leadership.
Zelensky also highlighted ongoing challenges, such as delays in the delivery of F-16 fighter jets promised by Western countries and the need for increased defense support.
He argued that global pressure on Russia could help achieve a diplomatic resolution to the war, which has continued for almost two and a half years.
Zelensky also told the BBC that he would not step down as president until the war is over.
