According to a statement by the US Department of Defense, the new package includes ammunition for NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, ammunition for HIMARS high mobility missile systems, 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, and equipment and ammunition for unmanned aerial systems (c-UAS).
Washington will also provide Kyiv with missiles for TOW systems, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, Stryker armoured personnel carriers, small arms and ammunition, grenades and spare parts.
This is the 69th package of US military aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
The Pentagon also stressed further cooperation with 50 allies to "meet Ukraine's urgent needs on the battlefield."
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has committed around USD 59.5 billion in security assistance to help the country defend itself, the US Department of Defense said.
