President Duda assured on social media that Poland will support Ukraine's interests at every forum following his meeting with Zelensky, which included discussions on potential peace talks.
"I have assured that at every international forum, I raise the issue to ensure Ukraine is always represented at the negotiating table. Poland will always support Ukraine's cause," President Duda added in a subsequent post.
The politician reiterated his position that no talks regarding Ukraine should take place without Ukraine's participation. He also urged the Ukrainian president to consider having a Polish representative at the negotiation table, as he argued, "our interests in this regard are aligned."
Ukrainian President expressed his gratitude to Poland for its steadfast support of Ukraine’s NATO accession, noting that President Andrzej Duda has consistently championed this cause. He also thanked Poland for delivering 45 support packages, with the 46th on the way, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity with partners to achieve lasting peace.
President Zelensky emphasized that NATO membership is very important for Ukraine. He expressed hope that during the next year, under Poland's and then Denmark's presidency of the European Council, progress will be made on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
