Authorities in the Sumy region, which borders Russia, said nine people were injured, including one child, when a Russian “Shahed” drone hit an apartment block.

Five apartments on four floors were destroyed, while more than 80 windows and balconies were damaged and over 20 cars ruined, the administration said. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that search and rescue operations were still under way.

“Four people have been killed, and nine have sustained injuries of varying degrees, including one child,” the statement read.

Separately, four more civilians died in Russian attacks on the eastern Donetsk and southern Kherson regions over the past day, according to local officials. “One person was killed in the Donetsk region, and four people were wounded in the past 24 hours,” regional governor Vadym Filashkin wrote on social media.

In Kherson, governor Oleksandr Prokudin said three people died and 10 were injured as Russian forces shelled 39 settlements in the region, as well as the regional capital of Kherson.
