The talks between Poland's Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Ukraine's Rustem Umerov focused on security and defence efforts following Washington's decision to pause US military aid to Kyiv, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
A key topic was "strengthening the cooperation of our defence industries," Kosiniak-Kamysz told reporters.
"Our industries must work together not only during wartime but also in building long-term capabilities," he said after the meeting.
Kosiniak-Kamysz also announced plans to visit Kyiv on a business mission with representatives from the Polish arms industry.
Ukraine's Umerov expressed gratitude for Poland's "continued and extensive support" of his embattled country, including military assistance.
"We have developed a plan for both urgent and long-term cooperation projects," he said.
The Polish defence ministry said ahead of the discussions that they would aim to "reinforce the strategic partnership and ensure stability in the face of new geopolitical challenges."
The meeting took place as US President Donald Trump looks to restore relations with Russia and seeks to bring an end to the more than three-year-old war in Ukraine.
Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.
Thursday is day 1,106 of Russia's war on Ukraine.
