Five people were killed when Russian artillery shelled the village of Buhaivka in the Kharkiv region on Monday morning, the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office said.

"Buildings were destroyed as a result of the enemy attack. Five people were killed", the prosecutor's office said.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and four others were wounded, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram.

"Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers carried out 867 strikes on 47 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. One person was killed, four were wounded", Fedorov wrote.

In Sumy, 14 people were wounded after Russian forces dropped five guided aerial bombs on the city overnight, local authorities said.

Ukraine's air force said in its morning report that Russia attacked overnight between August 9 and 10 with a Kh-59/69 guided air missile, three Banderol cruise missiles, and 126 attack drones, including Shahed-type strike drones — some of them jet-powered — as well as Gerbera and Parodiya decoy drones.

Air defenses shot down 92 drones and all three Banderol missiles, the air force said. However, 31 drones struck targets in 22 locations. The Kh-59/69 missile failed to reach its target and fell to the ground, according to the report.
