The talks took place as US President Joe Biden was in Poland for a busy two-day trip to discuss the West's response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis the war has created, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Ukraine's Kuleba said in a Twitter post that he and Reznikov were meeting with Blinken and Austin "to seek practical decisions in both political and defense spheres in order to fortify Ukraine’s ability to fight back Russian aggression."

Reznikov tweeted he and Kuleba would "also be present" when Biden delivers a speech in Warsaw in the evening "on the Russian war against Ukraine."

The White House has said that in his "major address" in the Polish capital later on Saturday Biden "will deliver remarks on the united efforts of the free world to support the people of Ukraine, hold Russia accountable
for its brutal war, and defend a future that is rooted in democratic principles."

Meanwhile, Biden was on Saturday set to meet for talks in Warsaw with Poland's President Andrzej Duda to discuss Russia's war in Ukraine and the West's response to what many say is the worst security crisis in Europe since World War II.
