Billed as the largest business event in Central Europe, the annual European Economic Congress in Katowice explores key economic challenges in Poland, Europe and the wider world.
This year the key focus is Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its impact on the economy, including disrupted supply chains, soaring energy prices and changing consumer behaviour, according to organizers.
Expected guests include European Union Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson and a contingent of Polish government officials led by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Olga Stefanishyna, Ukraine's deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, is expected to attend remotely.
The debates will explore various issues in business and technology, including energy transformation, digitization, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence.
The conference, which is now in its 14th year and runs until Wednesday, will be accompanied by European Tech and Start-Up Days, an event aiming to support hi-tech business start-ups.
