The meeting took place as Yellen was visiting Poland as part of efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia to end its war against Ukraine, according to the US Department of the Treasury.
Morawiecki's office said in a statement that the talks were part of a series of "intensive Polish-American diplomatic contacts" to "coordinate the international response to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine."
The meeting demonstrated the two countries' "commitment to European security and the strengthening of transatlantic ties," the Polish Prime Minister's Office also said.
Later this week, Yellen is scheduled to represent the United States at a meeting of Group of Seven (G7) finance ministers and central bank governors in Bonn, Germany.
While overseas, Yellen is expected to reinforce the United States' "commitment to multilateralism and advance US policy priorities on an inclusive economic recovery," according to a statement by the US Department of the Treasury.
Her visit comes as the United States and its allies "continue their united efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia to end its brutal and illegal war against Ukraine," the US Treasury Department said.
