Speaking in a video address late on Saturday, Zelensky said that Russian missile strikes at cities across Ukraine, combined with artillery and mortar shelling, were "not just the destruction of our infrastructure, but also "very cynical, calculated pressure on the emotions" of the Ukrainian people.
"But it's not us who will be overpowered," he said, as cited by the ukrinform.net website. "We will overpower them. No Russian missiles, no strikes can break the morale of Ukrainians. And each of their missiles is an argument in our negotiations with partners."
Zelensky vowed in his message that Ukraine would win back the cities it lost to the Russians, including Severodonetsk.
"We don't have a sense of how long it will last, how many more blows, losses and efforts will be needed before we see victory is on the horizon," he said, as quoted by the Reuters news agency.
