Ukraine's Odesa region comes under Russian missile attack

At least three civilians were injured on Wednesday in Russia’s shelling of Ukraine's southern Odesa region, news outlets reported.

Russian troops launched several rocket attacks on the Odesa region in the early hours of Wednesday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The attacks caused a fire at a recreation centre and several private buildings nearby, according to Ukraine's Ukrinform news agency.

"Two enemy rockets ... caused destruction and a fire at a recreation center in the Odesa region and in several private buildings nearby," Serhii Bratchuk, head of the regional military administration, said in a social media post, as cited by the ukrinform.net website.

"Three citizens were injured," Bratchuk added on his Telegram channel.

Wednesday is day 175 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
