According to niezalezna.pl, Russians and their collaborators are leaving many settlements in the Luhansk region, amid Ukraine’s battlefield successes in the northeastern Kharkiv oblast.
The website cited Serhiy Haidai, the head of the regional military administration, as saying that the departures “are on a mass scale.”
Haidai took to the Telegram social messaging app to post footage of cars queuing up at checkpoints, niezalezna.pl reported.

Queues have formed in the towns of Stanytsia Luhanska and Shchastia, while groups of Russians are also fleeing by car from Starobilsk to Luhansk, Haidai said, as cited by niezalezna.pl.
The official also noted that according to Ukraine’s General Staff, the Russians have fled the city of Svatove “in trucks, armoured vehicles and private cars stolen from locals,” niezalezna.pl wrote.
“Cities that have been occupied since 2014 are also being deserted. The occupiers are actively driving away from Luhansk and Alchevsk,” Haidai said, as cited by niezalezna.pl.
Monday is day 201 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
