The conference, due to take place in the US capital on October 24, is designed to enable participants to exchange experience and best practices, while also encouraging joint projects and initiatives in various areas, according to its organizers, the Warsaw-based Kulski Foundation for Polish-American Relations.

The event, the seventh in a series that began in 2019, is intended to contribute to Polish-American cooperation in areas such as international policy, security, social affairs and healthcare, with a focus on biotechnology, according to foundation president Małgorzata Bogusz.

“Russia’s brutal assault on independent Ukraine poses enormous challenges to the entire democratic world,” Bogusz said in a message ahead of the conference.

She added: “The future depends on determination, solidarity and cooperation within the democratic world. That is why it is essential to constantly deepen the collaboration on many levels among different countries, including Poland and the USA.”

The motto of the conference series is “The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create it,” a quote from Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States.
