On Tuesday, a barrage of Russian missile strikes on critical infrastructure across Ukraine caused power outages in Moldova and disrupted the supply of oil to Hungary and Slovakia, a Polish business website has reported.

Tuesday's missile attacks, the heaviest by Russia since the start of its invasion of Ukraine, downed a key power line to Moldova and caused a massive blackout in that country, including the capital Chișinău, according to the biznesalert.pl website.

The attacks disrupted oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline, according to officials.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto was quoted as saying that heavy Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure on Tuesday halted the supply to several countries in Central Europe.

Szijjarto said on Wednesday that repairs on the Druzhba pipeline, which pumps Russian oil across Ukraine to Central European countries, had allowed oil to begin flowing again, albeit at low pressure.

Thursday is day 267 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
