Upon his arrival on Friday morning, Morawiecki met with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal and laid a wreath at the capital's Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine, news outlets reported.
The Polish prime minister also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
'2023 will be the year of our victory': Zelensky
Zelensky on Friday posted a message on social media to mark one year since Russia invaded his country, vowing that “2023 will be the year of our victory.”
Polish president urges solidarity with Ukraine
Meanwhile, Polish President Andrzej Duda tweeted: "Today it is from Poland, from the country of Solidarity that an appeal goes out to the whole free world: There is no freedom without solidarity. Solidarity with Ukraine."
Friday is day 366 of Russia’s war on Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022.
