Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 208,910: report

Around 208,910 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,819 tanks, 7,490 armored fighting vehicles and 3,501 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces killed 540 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 575 multiple launch rocket systems, 335 air defense systems, 313 warplanes, 298 helicopters, 18 warships, and 3,137 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 464 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
