On Sunday, Ukrainian forces targeted two critical road bridges essential to Russian logistics, connecting the occupied Crimea with the seized section of the Kherson region. This development necessitates a redirection of logistical routes from shorter eastern paths to longer alternatives situated in the western part of the region.

Drawing upon information from Russian sources, the ISW report outlines that the extent of the damage inflicted on the Henichesk bridge is substantial, while the Chonhar bridge has sustained comparatively lesser damage.

The ISW's analysis refers back to Ukraine's prior strategic measures that led to the liberation of portions of the Kherson region. By effectively targeting and neutralizing key resources and logistical infrastructure deep within the adversary's territory, the Ukrainian military compelled Russian troops to withdraw.

Analytical experts emphasize that Kyiv asserted that this mission aims to degrade the logistical and defensive capacities of Russian forces, in order to create favorable environment for subsequent counteroffensive maneuvers.
