UPDATE: Seven civilians killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine

At least seven civilians were killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine on Wednesday, according to an updated toll from authorities.

Four civilians were killed after an apartment building was destroyed in a Russian missile strike on the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, and a 31-year-old woman died in an attack on the village of Obukhivka in the central region of Dnipropetrovsk, officials said.

A man and a woman were also killed in an overnight attack on the southern region of Kherson, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said on the Telegram messaging app, as cited by the Reuters news agency.

'Russian terror must be defeated': Zelensky

"The evil state continues to use terror and wage war on civilians," President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a social media post.

"I thank everyone who isn't silent and is helping us overcome this," he added.

"We will do everything possible to bring the terrorist state to justice," Zelensky also wrote. "Russian terror must be defeated."

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
