Ukraine is "730 days closer to victory," Zelensky said, urging his fellow citizens to 'keep fighting – you are sure to win!'

During a ceremony in Hostomel, marking the second anniversary of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, Zelensky assured that Ukrainians have not forsaken their independence, and the world has not failed their country.

In a speech, Zelensky said that two years ago Ukrainians "met hostile landing with fire here, but two years later, we welcome our friends and partners here."

Attending the gathering in Hostomel, north-central Ukraine, were notable figures such as Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, along with Prime Ministers Giorgia Meloni of Italy, Justin Trudeau of Canada, Alexander de Croo of Belgium, and Mette Frederiksen of Denmark, accompanied by American Senator Chuck Schumer.

Also, during the Saturday ceremony, Zelensky honoured the memory of soldiers and civilians who perished during the war and thanked Ukraine’s allies for their unwavering support.

Amidst the commemorations, expressions of solidarity with Ukraine poured in from various corners of the world. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged Ukraine and its allies to persevere, emphasizing the seriousness of the ongoing conflict.

Earlier on Friday, over 50 countries, including Poland, collectively denounced Russia's aggression against Ukraine, condemning the violation of international law and reaffirming their support for Kyiv.

This condemnation was echoed in the United States' announcement of over 500 new sanctions against Russia, addressing both the invasion of Ukraine and the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
