Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 513,700: report

Around 513,700 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 7,806 tanks, 15,036 armored fighting vehicles and 13,385 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Wednesday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,280 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,092 multiple launch rocket systems, 830 air defense systems, 357 warplanes, 326 helicopters, 27 warships, and 10,805 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Wednesday is day 833 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
