While in Paris, Biden plans to hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on using frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine, according to reports.
This topic is also set to be a significant discussion point at the upcoming G7 summit in Apulia, Italy.
Sullivan announced the upcoming meeting between Biden and Zelensky during a press briefing en route to Paris, the AFP news agency reported.
"He'll have an engagement with him to talk about the state of play in Ukraine and how we can continue and deepen our support for Ukraine," Sullivan said, as quoted by the AFP.
Both leaders will attend ceremonies on Thursday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy during World War II.
While Sullivan did not disclose the exact timing and location of the meeting, he emphasized the U.S. commitment to supplying Ukraine with weapons and air defense system components.
Sullivan noted that Ukraine was recovering from a period of halted U.S. arms deliveries and has since strengthened its positions around Kharkiv and in the Donbas region.
