Poland secures major deal for advanced air-to-air missiles

The Armament Agency has signed a contract for the purchase of several hundred AIM-120C air-to-air missiles.

The contract with the U.S. government is valued at approximately $850 million (over 3.4 billion PLN and 780 million EUR), according to the Informational Radio Agency (IAR).

Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Bejda stated on his X profile that an adequate stockpile of aerial munitions is necessary to maintain the security of Polish airspace.

The deliveries will take place between 2029 and 2033 and will be used by the combat aircraft of the Polish Air Force.
