Ukraine repels Russian drone assault; airstrike in Sumy kills two

Ukrainian air defence successfully repelled a nighttime Russian drone attack, shooting down 15 out of 23 unmanned aerial vehicles, according to Kyiv officials.

Additionally, one Russian missile was intercepted and destroyed.

Meanwhile, a Russian airstrike on Sumy, a city in eastern Ukraine, resulted in two fatalities and four injuries during the night from Saturday to Sunday, the regional military administration reported on Facebook.

All necessary services are involved in managing the aftermath, and the injured are receiving appropriate medical care, according to local officials.

Sumy, which borders Russia, has frequently been targeted in recent attacks.
